September 1, 1985: Red Sox (79-51) at Twins (53-77)

In an exciting finish the Minnesota Twins pulled out a win over the Boston Red Sox by a score of 8 to 7 at METRODOME. 

Minnesota won the game with a run in the bottom of the 9th inning. After an out was recorded, Kent Hrbek drew a walk. Tom Brunansky followed, but he was set down on strikes. Gary Gaetti then doubled making Minnesota victorious to the delight of the the home town crowd. Boston out-hit Minnesota 14 to 9, but Minnesota ended up with more runs. 

Rick Lysander(2-2) got the win allowing 1 run in 1 and 2/3 innings. Bruce Kison(2-6) ended up with the loss in relief. He gave up 1 run and 1 hit in 1 and 2/3 innings.
