Larry Parrish went deep and had 2 RBI at ARLINGTON STADIUM as the Kansas City Royals lost a heartbreaker to Texas Rangers by the score of 6 to 4. 

Texas had the winning rally in the 9th inning plating 2 runs. After two were out Toby Harrah began the rally when he drew a walk. Pete O'Brien next to the plate and he blasted a two-run home run giving Texas the victory and sending the 48,363 home-town fans home happy. Texas finished with 10 hits in the victory. 

Burt Hooton(7-9) went 1 inning allowing no runs for the win. The losing pitcher was Joe Beckwith(8-4) in relief. He allowed 2 runs and 2 hits in 2 innings.
