In a dramatic ending at MEMORIAL STADIUM the Baltimore Orioles won in their last at-bat beating the Oakland Athletics by the count of 5 to 4. 

Baltimore won the game with a run in the bottom of the 9th inning. Lenn Sakata blasted a solo shot giving Baltimore the victory as 26,705 happy fans celebrated wildly. A wild affair, this game saw the lead change 5 times. 

The victory was credited to Sammy Stewart(2-4) who went 2 innings, allowing no runs. Don Sutton(8-15) took the loss. He was touched for 3 homeruns in his 8 innings of work.
