Jesse Barfield had 5 hits and 2 RBI and Dave Stieb was able to finish what he started and was credited with a complete game as the dominant Toronto Blue Jays topped the Minnesota Twins by a score of 9 to 2 at EXHIBITION STADIUM. 

Toronto took the lead for good in the bottom of the 3rd inning scoring a single run on 2 base hits. Toronto had a total of 15 hits for the game. 

Stieb(25-6) was the winner allowing 2 runs for the game. The losing pitcher was Mike Smithson(9-16). He pitched 6 innings giving up 11 hits and 1 walk.
