September 7, 1985: A's (56-80) at Yankees (78-57)

Ron Guidry went 9 solid innings at YANKEE STADIUM as the New York Yankees belted the Oakland Athletics by the count of 16 to 0. 

Guidry(22-8) simply dominated Oakland. He didn't give up much, just 4 hits and 2 walks in 9 innings. New York provided plenty of action in the 6th inning when they had 12 runs on 7 hits. New York finished with 13 hits in the victory. 

The loss was charged to Don Sutton(8-16). He was not very effective, surrendering 6 runs in 5 and 1/3 innings.
