September 11, 1985: Yankees (80-59) at Brewers (62-77)

Rich Bordi pitched a complete game shutout and Don Baylor hit 2 doubles at COUNTY STADIUM as the New York Yankees beat the Milwaukee Brewers 2 to 0. 

New York came through with the game-winning runs in the top of the 9th inning scoring 2 runs on 3 base hits. Don Mattingly led off the inning for New York when he doubled. After an out was recorded, Baylor came to the plate and doubled scoring a single run. After another out, Mike Pagliarulo then doubled scoring the final run of the inning. New York finished with just 5 hits in the victory. 

Bordi(10-1) was credited with the shutout. Ted Higuera(12-14) was the losing pitcher. He was stingy with the baserunners, allowing just 5 hits and 1 walk in 8 and 2/3 innings. 

New York now has a record of 80-59. With the loss Milwaukee now has a record of 62-77.
