September 8, 1985: Mariners (68-69) at Tigers (82-54)

Todd Crane allowed Sparky Anderson to rest his bullpen, tossing a complete game as the strong Detroit Tigers beat the Seattle Mariners by a score of 7 to 1. 

It was a good day for Detroit thanks to Kirk Gibson. He clubbed a two-run home run in the 1st inning and tripled emptying the bases in the 6th inning. Detroit totaled 9 hits on the afternoon. 

Crane(14-8), allowing 1 run for the game, picked up the victory. Mark Langston(13-11) was the loser. In another of a string of victories, Detroit extended their winning streak to 6 games.
