The Chicago Cubs bested the Cincinnati Reds by a 6 to 2 score at WRIGLEY FIELD. 

In the bottom of the 4th inning Chicago went on top for good plating one baserunner on 3 base hits. Chicago finished with 13 hits while Cincinnati ended up with 9. 

The victory was credited to Dennis Eckersley(18-8) who went 7 innings, allowing 2 runs. Jay Tibbs(10-16) suffered the loss. He got hammered, allowing 10 hits and 2 walks in 5 innings.
