September 19, 1985: Reds (78-68) at Braves (44-102)

The Atlanta Braves edged the Cincinnati Reds in 12 innings at FULTON CTY STADIUM by the score of 6 to 5. 

Both teams had scored 5 runs after nine full innings. Atlanta won it in the 12th inning. Dale Murphy laced a single. After an out was recorded, Chris Chambliss stepped in and he doubled. Ken Oberkfell then hit a sacrifice fly making Atlanta the victor and beginning a joyous home town celebration. Atlanta had a total of 13 hits for the game. 

Bruce Sutter(3-4) allowed no runs in 1 inning, and picked up the victory. Ron Robinson(8-7) was the loser in relief. He pitched 2 and 2/3 innings allowing 3 hits and no walks.
