Steve Garvey came next and he lined a base-hit. Garvey took second on the throw. After an out was recorded, Carmelo Martinez then lined a single knocking in a run. After another out, Jeff Dedmon then unleashed a wild pitch scoring the final run of the inning. San Diego banged out 9 hits on the night.
