Toronto had 6 runs cross the plate in the bottom of the 5th inning when they came up with 7 base hits. The biggest moment was provided by Buck Martinez who made the home-town crowd a happy bunch when he tripled with all three baserunners touching home. Milwaukee tried unsuccessfully to come back in the 9th. The Blue Jays winning streak is at 12 games.
The win went to Dennis Lamp(6-6) who allowed 2 runs in 2 and 2/3 innings. Tom Henke recorded the save, his 35th. Ray Burris(14-16) was the losing pitcher. He was not very effective, surrendering 10 runs in 4 and 1/3 innings.
