September 21, 1985: Reds (78-70) at Astros (72-76)

Craig Reynolds had 3 base hits and Mike Scott was on top of his game, blanking Cincinnati on just 4 hits as the Houston Astros defeated the Cincinnati Reds in 10 innings by a score of 1 to 0 at Colt Stadium. 

The score was knotted at zero after nine innings. Houston won the game in the 10th inning. Scott singled. Bill Doran came next and he slapped a single. Reynolds then delivered a single giving Houston the win and sending the home town fans into a frenzy. Houston totaled 10 hits on the afternoon. 

 For Scott(7-17) it was his 2nd shutout this year. Jay Tibbs(12-17) ended up with the loss. The Houston ballclub's record now stands at 72-76. Cincinnati has a record of 78-70 after the loss.
