September 22, 1985: Expos (72-77) at Cardinals (89-60)

Danny Cox had a strong outing and Willie McGee had 2 base hits and 2 RBI as the St. Louis Cardinals defeated the Montreal Expos by a score of 4 to 0 at BUSCH STADIUM.

Montreal fell behind quickly as the St. Louis offense came through in the first inning as they scored 2 runs on 3 base hits. That scoring would be all that was needed. After the 2nd inning, neither team was able to score.

Cox(10-12) was credited with the shutout, his first of the year. Bill Gullickson(11-16) ended up with the loss. He pitched 6 innings and surrendered 6 hits and no walks.
