October 1, 1985: Red Sox (88-69) at Orioles (79-78)

Eddie Murray ripped 2 homeruns and had 4 RBI as the Baltimore Orioles defeated the Boston Red Sox by a score of 12 to 9 at MEMORIAL STADIUM. 

Murray had a big evening at the plate. He clubbed a two-run home run in the 6th inning and lofted a solo-blast in the 8th inning. Baltimore dominated offensively as they scored in 6 different innings. 

The victory went to Sammy Stewart(3-4) who went 1 and 2/3 innings, allowing 3 runs. Don Aase recorded the save, his 24th. The loss was charged to Mike Trujillo(6-1) in relief. He was knocked around, surrendering 3 runs in 2 and 1/3 innings.
