Mike Hargrove had 2 base hits and 2 RBI as the Cleveland Indians defeated the Seattle Mariners by a score of 6 to 5 at MUNICIPAL STADIUM. 

Bryan Clark(4-3) was the winning pitcher with a solid relief performance. He went 1 inning and surrended up no hits and 1 walk. Seattle had a chance in the 9th but they came up short. 

Clark was helped out by Tom Waddell who recorded his 19th save. Mike Moore(19-14) took the loss. He surrendered 5 runs and 6 hits in 6 and 1/3 innings.
