October 2, 1985: Angels (65-93) at Royals (87-70)

Reggie Jackson cracked a homer and had 2 RBI at ROYALS STADIUM where the California Angels beat the Kansas City Royals in 10 innings by the score of 3 to 1. 

The game was deadlocked at 1 after nine full innings. California won the hard fought contest in the 10th inning. After two outs Brian Downing got things going when he lined a one-base hit. Jackson was next and he popped a two-run clout over the fence. California rapped out 10 hits for the night. 

The win went to Pat Clements(4-1) who allowed no runs in 3 innings. Clements got help from Stu Cliburn who was credited with his 4th save. Joe Beckwith(11-7) was the loser in relief. He surrendered 2 runs and 2 hits in 1 inning.
