October 3, 1985: Blue Jays (100-59) at Tigers (94-65)

Catcher Ernie Whitt blasted a homerun and Dave Stieb tossed a shutout as the very strong Toronto Blue Jays defeated the Detroit Tigers by the score of 3 to 0 at TIGER STADIUM. 

Stieb(29-7) was solid in the win. He didn't allow much, just 6 hits and 3 walks in 9 innings. Toronto banged out 8 hits on the night. 

Walt Terrell(18-10) was hit with the loss. He pitched 8 innings and surrendered 8 hits and 5 walks.
