Bill Schroeder connected with a homer and had 4 RBI as the Milwaukee Brewers topped the New York Yankees by a score of 10 to 3 at YANKEE STADIUM. 

Schroeder provided the offensive punch. He ripped a one-base hit plating two runs in the 2nd inning and popped a two-run clout over the fence in the 9th inning. For the game Milwaukee out-hit New York 16 to 4. 

Ted Higuera(17-14) picked up the victory, allowing 3 runs in 7 innings. Ed Whitson(6-18) was tagged with the loss. He gave up 8 hits and no walks in 1 and 2/3 innings.
