September 28, 1985: Phillies (66-89) at Cubs (78-78)

Scott Sanderson retired 10 batters on strikeouts as the Chicago Cubs topped the Philadelphia Phillies by a score of 8 to 1 at WRIGLEY FIELD.

Sanderson(13-9) was indeed brilliant as he hand-cuffed the Philadelphia offense. He didn't allow much, just 4 hits and 1 walk in 9 innings. Chicago totaled 7 hits on the afternoon.

Shane Rawley(12-16) was the losing pitcher.
