September 29, 1985: Orioles (77-78) at Yankees (88-67)

Lee Lacy had 5 hits and 4 RBI as the Baltimore Orioles defeated the New York Yankees in 15 innings 10 to 8 at YANKEE STADIUM. 

Both teams were tied at 6 runs apiece after nine innings. Baltimore came out the victor in the 15th inning. Fritz Connally led off and he drew a walk. Rick Dempsey was the next batter, but he struck out. Alan Wiggins then delivered a single. Wiggins was safe at second on a stolen base. Lacy stepped into the box and slapped a base-hit driving in two more baserunners. The score went back-and-forth with the lead changing 5 times. 

Tippy Martinez(6-5) got credit for the victory, pitching 2 innings and allowing no runs. Dennis Rasmussen(8-7) absorbed the loss in relief. He was not very effective, surrendering 3 runs in 2 and 1/3 innings.
