George Brett rocketed 2 homeruns and had 4 RBI at METRODOME as the Kansas City Royals beat the Minnesota Twins 8 to 2. 

Brett was a thorn in the side of the hometown fans as he enjoyed a fine day at their team's expense. He rifled a three-run blast in the 1st inning and clubbed a solo home run in the 5th inning. Dan Quisenberry came through with 2 and 1/3 perfect innings to earn his 32nd save. 

Danny Jackson(12-12) went 6 and 2/3 innings allowing 2 runs for the victory. John Butcher(4-21) was the losing pitcher. He surrended 4 homeruns in his 5 innings.
