In a close game the Atlanta Braves scored 4 runs in the 1st inning and got by the San Diego Padres by the score of 5 to 3. 

Rick Camp(5-13) contributed a very nice performance in relief. He surrendered only 1 hit and 2 walks in 3 and 2/3 innings. After the 4th inning, neither team was able to score. 

Bruce Sutter earned the save, his 17th. Lamarr Hoyt(15-17) absorbed the loss. He gave up 6 hits and 1 walk in 5 innings.
