September 29, 1985: White Sox (79-76) at A's (67-89)

Right fielder Mike Davis collected 2 extra-base hits as the Oakland Athletics won a heart-stopping victory over the Chicago White Sox, 3 to 1. 

Oakland had the winning rally in the bottom of the 9th inning scoring 2 runs on 2 hits. After an out was recorded, Bruce Bochte got things going when he doubled. Dave Kingman followed next and he popped a two-run bomb over the fence giving Oakland the win much to the delight of the home town crowd. Oakland rapped out 7 hits for the afternoon. 

The winning pitcher was Steve Ontiveros(4-4) who allowed no runs in 1 inning. The losing pitcher was Floyd Bannister(15-15). While he was the losing pitcher, he still struck out 11 batters in 8 and 1/3 innings.
