September 4, 1985: White Sox (65-66) at Royals (75-57)

Ozzie Guillen had 4 hits and 2 RBI as the Chicago White Sox outscored the Kansas City Royals 6 to 5.

Chicago jumped out to the early lead in the first inning scoring 2 runs using 2 hits. After an out was recorded, Guillen started the attack as he lashed a single. Harold Baines got his chance to keep things going, but he went down on strikes. Greg Walker then lifted one out of the park for a two run home run. Kansas City tried unsuccessfully to come back in the 9th.

The win was credited to Floyd Bannister(14-12) who went 6 and 2/3 innings allowing 2 runs. Bannister got help from Bob James who earned his 28th save. Bret Saberhagen(15-8) was the losing pitcher.
