September 16, 1985: Astros (68-75) at Braves (42-101)

The Houston Astros snapped a 5 game losing streak and toppled the floundering Atlanta Braves by a 5 to 1 score at FULTON COUNTY STADIUM. 

Atlanta found themselves trailing quickly as the Houston bats came through in the first inning when they tallied 2 runs on 3 hits. That was all the runs Nolan Ryan(14-16) needed. Houston banged out 9 hits on the night. 

Frank Dipino recorded the save, his 1st. Rick Mahler(10-16) was the loser. He pitched 6 innings giving up 8 hits and 4 walks.
