September 17, 1985: Giants (64-80) at Reds (77-67)

Tom Browning went 9 solid innings as the Cincinnati Reds defeated the San Francisco Giants by the score of 3 to 0 at Crosley Field. 

Cincinnati came up with 2 runs in the 6th inning. The key at-bat was by Nick Esasky who came through for the home fans when he clubbed a two-run home run. Cincinnati managed 7 hits in their victory. 

For Browning(14-14) it was his 2nd shutout this year. Dave Lapoint(7-17) was charged with the loss.
