September 17, 1985: Mariners (71-74) at Royals (78-66)

Left fielder Phil Bradley had 5 hits and 4 RBI as the Seattle Mariners defeated the Kansas City Royals by a score of 9 to 5 at ROYALS STADIUM. 

Bradley had a big day with his bat. He smacked a single scoring a run in the 1st inning, singled in the 3rd inning, smashed a bases-empty 'big-fly' in the 4th inning, slapped a one-base hit scoring a run in the 6th inning and slapped a base-hit knocking in a run in the 8th inning. Seattle finished with 11 hits in the victory. 

The winning pitcher was Matt Young(16-12) who allowed 3 runs in 6 and 1/3 innings. Edwin Nunez recorded his 19th save. Danny Jackson(10-12) took the loss. 

The Seattle ballclub's record now stands at 71-74. With the loss, Kansas City has a record of 3-7 lately, 78-66 overall.
