September 18, 1985: Blue Jays (93-53) at Red Sox (86-60)

Jim Clancy went 8 solid innings and left fielder George Bell had 3 base hits and scored 3 times as the sizzling Toronto Blue Jays man-handled the Boston Red Sox - the final score was 11 to 1.

Toronto went ahead for good in the 2nd inning scoring 2 runs using 2 hits. Bell led off and got things going when he drew a walk. Cliff Johnson stepped up next and he cracked a two-run shot. That scoring would be all that was needed. Overall Toronto out-hit Boston 11 to 4.

Clancy(10-14) got the win allowing 1 run in 8 innings. Al Nipper(10-13) was the losing pitcher. He struggled with his control issuing 5 walks in 2 and 2/3 innings. Toronto has now won 10 in a row.
