At DODGER STADIUM the Los Angeles Dodgers outdistanced the New York Mets by a final score of 9 to 5. 

Los Angeles drew first blood jumping out to an early lead in the first inning when they tallied 4 runs on 4 hits. The highlight belonged to Ken Landreaux who made the Los Angeles fans a happy lot when he doubled plating two runs. Los Angeles managed 10 hits in their victory.
