October 5, 1985: Braves (49-112) at Giants (73-88)

Bob Horner had 2 base hits at CANDLESTICK PARK as the Atlanta Braves beat the San Francisco Giants 4 to 3. Atlanta won the game with a run in the 8th inning. 

After an out was recorded, Chris Chambliss delivered a single. Bruce Benedict followed next and he drew a walk. Milt Thompson then laced a base-hit to load the bases. Claudell Washington followed and he lashed a single scoring the run. San Francisco threatened in the 9th but their rally came up short. 

The win went to Rick Camp(6-13) who allowed no runs in 1 inning. Bruce Sutter got the save, his 18th. The losing pitcher was Frank Williams(3-3) in relief.
