October 5, 1985: Yankees (89-72) at Blue Jays (102-59)

The Toronto Blue Jays nipped the New York Yankees in 10 innings 6 to 5 at EXHIBITION STADIUM in a hard fought contest. 

The game was deadlocked at 5 after nine full innings. Toronto was victorious in the 10th inning. Garth Iorg laced a one-base hit. After an out was recorded, Lloyd Moseby came to the plate and drew a walk. One out later, Damaso Garcia then doubled resulting in a mighty exciting win for Toronto and the 45,958 home town fans in attendance. Toronto finished with 13 hits while New York ended up with 6. 

Jim Acker(4-2) got the win allowing no runs in 1 inning. Brian Fisher(5-2) was tagged with the loss in relief. He surrendered 2 hits and 3 walks in 1 and 2/3 innings.
