April 11, 1985 Game 26: Dodgers at Astros

The Dodgers and the Astros in the rubber match would send Orel Hershiser and Bob Knepper to the hill.

Mike Marshall would open the scoring in the 1st by Doubling home Ken Landreaux and it would be 1-0 Dodgers at the end of the 1st.

The Dodgers would knock Knepper from the game in the 2nd by putting up a 5 spot. The big blow would be a Mike Marshall 3 run Homet that would score Hershiser and Landreaux. The Astros bullpen would take over and only allow 5 hits and 1 run over the next 7.1 innings.

The Dodgers would get 1 more in the 6th when Sax would score on a Madlock Single. Putting the Dodgers up 7-0. The Astros would finally get 1 of of Hershiser. Denny Walling would score on a Jerry Mumphrey SAC FLY and make it 7-1.

The Astros would be able to knock out Hershiser in the 7th. Terry Puhl would score on a bases loaded walk to Mumphrey. Tom Niedenfuer would come in and get Harry Spilman to hit into a 5-4-3 double play that would score Walling, making the score 7-3 Dodgers.
