April 13, 1985 Game 41: Blue Jays (2-2) at Orioles (1-2)

A crazy start to this one. THey would each tag the starter for 2 in the 1st.  Dave Steib toed the rubber for the Blue Jays and Storm Davis for the hometown Orioles. Steib coming off of a tough defeat and Davis after tossing a shutout.

The Blue Jays got on the board first in the 1st. Moesby would single and steal 2nd.  A Mulliniks triple would score him.  Upshaw would single scoring him.  Blue Jays lead 2-0.  THe orioles would come right back.  Shelby would single with the bases loaded and that would score Young and Ripken.  Game is tied at 2.

George Bell would hit a solo shot in the 3rd to put the Jays up 3-2.  THey would get 2 more in the 4th and take control of the game. Barfield triples and that would score Johnson. Garcia would hit a SAC FLY to Lynn that would score Barfield and it is now 5-2 Blue Jays.

Davis struggled today giving up 5 runs in 7 innings. But he did strikeout 6. Eddie Murray will miss the next 7 games due to injury.

Steib was electric.  After the 1st he would only give up 1 hit and a walk. Henke would come out in the 9th and after putting the first two hitters on.  he would get the next three to end the game.
