April 14, 1985 Game 58: Yankees (2-2) at Indians (1-3)

The Indians offense would continue to struggle against Phil Niekro and the Yankees. Neal Heaton would shine as the one bright point for the Indians. Niekro bounced back nicely after his first start was a disaster. He would toss a 4 hit shutout and would end up walking 5 and striking out 8. Brook Jacoby would get 3 of the teams 4 hits. Heaton would run out of gas after 7 innings Bryan Clark would take over.

The Yankees would get 1 in the 6th. Mattingly would single scoring Robertson. They would get another in the 8th on a Dave Winfield Home Run. The Yankees lead 2-0.

Niekro would shut down the Indians in the 9th to get the win.
