April 14, 1985 Game 66: Brewers (3-1) at Rangers (1-3)

The Brewers came into Arlington Stadium to 17,494 screaming Ranger fans that were hoping to cheer the hometown team out of a sweep. The Rangers would send Dave Rozema to the hill and The Brewers would send Moose Haas to face him.

The Rangers took the early lead in the 1st when Toby Harrah would single and steal second. A Gary Ward single would score him and it is 1-0 Rangers. The Brewers would tie it up in the 2nd. Schroeder would hit a deep fly ball to Householder that would score Simmons and it is 1-1.

In the 6th Ward would drop a Manning Flyball and that would allow Simmons to score and it is 2-1 Brewers. THe Rangers would answer back as Tolleson would crush a Haas curveball to left for a 2-run HR and that would put the Rangers on top 3-2.

In the 8th Yount would take Rozema deep and tie the game at 3. In the 9th Gantner would hit into a 3-6-3 doubleplay and that would score Householder and give the Brewers a 4-3 lead. Fingers would pitch the 9th and get the Rangers out 1-2-3 to earn his 2nd save of the season.

Rozema was solid in the loss. He allowed 4 R on 9 hits and 1 walk and struckout 4 and getting the complete game.
