April 19, 1985 Game 118: Orioles (2-6) at Blue Jays (5-4)

The Orioles have been awful so far and today would be no different as the Blue Jays would manhandle them at Exhibition Stadium. They would send Mike Boddicker to the mound Doyle Alexander would start for the Blue Jays.

In the 1st Mulliniks would double with 1 out, Moseby walks and Bell singles and Mulliniks scores. Whitt would aslo single scoring Moseby and it is 2-0 at the end of 1. In the 3rd Upshaw walks and Bell singles to put runners on 1st and 2nd. Whitt doubles and Upshaw scores. Barfeild hits a SACFLY to right scoring Bell. Fernandez singles and that scores Whitt and after 3 inning of play its 5-0 Blue Jays.

In the 7th Alexander is mowing through the Orioles batters and has a 5 run lead and the Blue Jays would add to their lead. Whitt gets on 2nd after a 2BE on Young, Fernandez triples scoring Whitt and it's 6-0 Blue Jays.

In the 8th the Blue Jays would close out the scoring when Upshaw crushes a Tippy Martinez pitch for a 2 run homer to make it 8-0. Alexander pitches the 9th and gets the shutout earning his 3rd win and dropping his ERA to 0.67
