April 20, 1985 Game 121: Red Sox (6-4) at White Sox (4-4)

The White Sox look to even this series up at Comisky Park as they lost the 1st game 4-1.  Tom Seaver as been a pleasant surprise in the early part of the season and He is trying to keep the magic going as he faces a struggling Bruce Hurst.

The White Sox would get their runs early and it looked like Hurst would in for a long afternoon.  In the 2nd Fisk would get on after an error by Hoffman, Kittle singles and its 1st and 2nd, Walker doubles and that scores Fisk and puts runners at 2nd and 3rd.  Hullet steps up and singles scoring both Kittle and Walker and it's 3-0 White Sox.  Hurst would settle in nicely and those 3 runs would be all he would allow.  But the damage had been done.

Seaver was rolling along in another stellar start.  He was dominating Red Sox batters. Would only allow 4 hits one of those hits was a solo homer to Armas in the 7th to make it a 3-1 ballgame.  Both pitchers would get the complete game.

Hurst was good today, Seaver was just a little better

The Final Score 3-1 White Sox
