April 21, 1985 Game 135: Giants (6-4) at Reds (6-5)

The Reds are hoping to split this series at Riverfront and the hometown fans have been a little rowdy as the Reds have played a little sloppy. Thought plague by injuries they have played well. The Reds send Tom Browning out to face Atlee Hammaker who has only allowed 1 earned run.

In the 1st Davis leads off with a single, Redus doubles and Davis holds at 3rd. A passed ball by Brenly scores Davis and its 1-0 Reds. The Giants tie it up in the 6th. Gladden singles and steals 2nd, Youngbolld singles and Gladden scores to make it 1-1.

The Reds break open the game in the 6th. Krenchicki singles Esasky singles and Concepcion walks to load the bases. Bilardello bounce one to Trillo whos only play is at first and Krenchicki scores. Browning will help himself out with a 2-out single that scores Esasky and Concepcion to mak it 4-1 Reds. Browning will pitch the rest of the game and get the complete game and pick up his 2nd win.
