April 22, 1985 Game 146: Reds (7-5) at Astros (4-8)

The Reds and Astros are having fun at the Astrodome today.  The Astros are really struggling and the Reds are playing really well under Pete Rose and he sends Jay Tibbs out today and the Astros send Mike Scott.  

The Reds strike first in the 1st on a Dave Parker solo homer and its 1-0 Reds.  In the 4th Bell doubles, Parker singles and Bell holds at 3rd.  Davis bounces into a 6-4-3 double play and Bell scores and it's now 2-0.

The Astros take the lead in the 5th. Reynolds, Scott, and Doran walk to load the bases.  Bass doubles and that scores Reynolds and Scott score.  Cruz singles and that scores Doran and its now 3-2 Astros.

The Reds tie it up in the 6th when Milner hits a solo homer off of Scott.  The pitching was solid in this one and both teams were able to keep this at 3. But in the 12th the Reds take the lead.  Milner singles, Bell doubles and Milner holds at 3rd.  Parker singles and Milner scores to make it 4-3.

Franco pitches the 12th and closes it out for his 4th save
