April 25, 1985 Game 188: Cardinals (9-5) at Expos (7-7)

The Cardinals are looking to be the first team to win 10 games and they send Danny Cox to make it happen.  The Expos send Bill Gullickson to the mound.

The Cardinals get 2 in the 1st;  Cedeno singles with 1-out, Herr doubles and there are runners in scoring position.  Clark singles and both runners score to make it 2-0.  In the 5th the Expos cut the lead in half.  Butera gets on with a 2BE on Clark, Raines singles with 2-out and Butera scores and its 2-1.

In the 8th smith singles and steals 2nd, McGee pinch hits for Cox and delivers a double and Smith scores and its 3-1 Cardinals.  In the 9th Clark makes it 4-1 with a solo homer.

Lahti closes out the 9th for his 2nd save.
