April 26, 1985 Game 192: Indians (6-9) at Orioles (4-11)

The Indians have won 2 in row and Vern Ruhle channels Cy Young and tosses a 2-hit shutout at Memorial Stadium.  He was able to keep the Oriole hitters off balance by spotting his fastball and changes speeds effectively. The Orioles had no answer for him and Denny Martinez was unable to stop the Indian offense.

In the 1st Franco singles with 1-out, Hall follows it with a single and Franco makes it to 3rd.  Thornton bounces into a 4-3 FC and Franco scores for a 1-0 Indians lead.

In the 2nd Jacoby singles with 1-out, Williard singles and Jacoby holds at 2nd.  Carter then rips a single with 2-outs to score Jacoby and its 2-0 Indians.  In the 6th Vuckovich laces a 1-out single,  Williard then pokes a 2-out triple and Vuckovich scores.  Bernazard then singles and Williard trots home to give the Indians a 4-0.

In the 8th Vuckovich homers off of Martinez to give the Indians a 5-0 lead. Ruhle shuts down the Orioles in the Orioles in the 9th for the shutout and Cal Ripkens 14 game hit streak comes to an end. The Indians have now won 3 in a row.
