April 27, 1985 Game 208: Padres (10-6) at Dodgers (8-10)

It was a beautiful day at Dodger Stadium today.  The surprising Padres are taking on the struggling Dodgers.  The Dodger offense has been inconsistent as of late and the the Padres are getting great pitching and Today would be no exception.  This was an amazing game with an unlikly hero.  Andy Hawkins toes the rubber for the Pardres and Bob Welch gets the start for the Dodgers.

The Dodgers scratch out a run in the 3rd.  Landreaux singles, Russell bonces in to a 6-3 FC and Landreaux moves up to 2nd.  Madlock singles and Landreaux scores to make it 1-0.

That would be the only scoring in this one.  The Dodgers would strand 10 baserunners in this one, but Bob Welch was brilliant today and would only allow 1 hit and that was a leadoff single to Martinez in the 3rd.  Welch earns his 1st win.

The Final Score 1-0 Dodgers
