April 27, 1985 Game 213: A's (8-9) at Twins (8-9)

Another pitching gem today this time it would come from Frank Viola.  The A's send Don Sutton out to face him.  But the A's would again not be able to help Sutton out.

In the 3rd Teufel leads off with a double, Salas follows with a triple and Teufel scores,  Hatcher hits a 1-out single and Salas scores to make it 2-0.  In the 7th the Twins get 2 more when Salas hits a 1-out 2 run homer to make it 4-0.

Viola was simply throwing bebes today and the A's could only muster 2 hits off him.  After the game Twins manager Billy Gardner said that it was the best game that he has ever seen Viola pitch.

The Final Score 4-0 Twins
