April 29, 1985 Game 235: Brewers (9-8) vs Mariners (7-12)

The Mariners take on the Brewers at the Kingdome today.  I hate watching Mariners pitching, except for Mike Moore.  All others have been brutal.  Today they send Mark Langston out and the Brewers counter with Danny Darwin who has been lights out.  Today would be no exception.

In the 5th the Brewers get the offense going.  Romero doubles, Ready singles and Manning walks to load the bases.  Yount singles with 1-out, Romero and Ready score giving the Brewers a 2-0 lead.  In the 6th the Brewers add to their lead.  Oglivie doubles, Schroeder follows with a single and Oglivie scores and the Brewers have a 3-0.

Darwin has a 1 hit shutout going until the 9th.  Davis rips a 2-out double, Thomas singles and Davis scores to make it 3-1.  Darwin allows the bases to get loaded before he is relived by Rollie Fingers who gets the final out to secure the win.

The Final Score 3-1 Brewers
