April 30, 1985 Game 246: Brewers (10-8) at Mariners (7-13)

It's a balmy 70 degrees in the Kingdome for today's match up between the Mariners and the Brewers.  The Mariners send Bill Swift to the hill and the Brewers will send out Teddy Higuera.

In the 3rd the Brewers break the silence.  Molitor hits a 1-out double, Yount walks, Cooper advcances to 2nd on a 2BE on Cowens and Molitor scores to give the Brewers a 1-0 lead.  In the 4th the Brewers break this game open.  Householder singles, Romero singles, Riles singles to load the bases.  Molitor singles to score Householder.  Cooper singles with 2-out to score Romero and Riles.  Brouhard hits a dribbler in frin t of home that hill tries to pick up with one hand and drops it for an error and that allows Molitor to score and the Brewers lead it 5-0.

In the 7th the Brewers get one more. Simmons doubles, Moore and Householder walk.  Romero bounces into a 6-4-3 double play and that lets Simmons score.  Higuera is cruising along with a 3-hitter and kwill finish the game getting the shutout.
