May 4, 1985 Game 280: Rangers (8-13) at Indians (9-13)

It would be a blow out today at Municipal Stadium as the Indians would dominate this game as they would pound out 19 hits and the Rangers looked helpless to stop them.  Dave Rozema wouldn't get out of the 2nd and Neal Heaton would cruise to victory.

In the 1st the Indians would score 3 off of Rozema.  Franco and Thornton single.  Carter then singles home Franco.  Jacoby singles scoring Thornton, Vukovich doubles scoring Carter and it is 3-0 Indians. They would add 4 more in the 2nd and send Rozema to the showers.  Bernazard and Butler walk, Franco singles scoring Bernazard, Tabler singles scoring Butler.  Thornton singles scoring Franco and Rozema leaves the game,  With 2-outs Vukovich singles scoring Tabler and it is now 7-0 Indians.

The Rangers get a run in the 4th on Parrish 1st homer of the season and its now 7-1.  The Rangers would add 3 more in the 7th.  McDowell doubles and would score on O'Brien's single.  Slaught and Buechele single and now the bases are loaded.  Ward then singles scoring O'Brien and Slaught and it is now a 7-4 Indians lead.

The Indians get those 3 runs back in the 7th on Vukovich's 3 run homer off of Hooton to make it 10-4.  The Indians were not done though and they would add 3 more in the 8th.  Franco homers, Thornton singles and would score on Jacoby's double.  Bando singles scoring Jacoby to make it 13-4.
