It all started in the 1st when Dawson hits his 8th homer of the season and the Expos lead 1-0. The Braves bounce back and take a 3-1 lead in the bottom half of the inning. With runners on 2nd and 3rd Perry hits a SACFLY to left scoring Komminsk. Murphy would then add a 2 run homer his 7th and the Braves are in the drivers seat.
That lead would not last as the Expos score 5 in the 2nd. Winningham singles scoring Brooks, Fitzgerazld singles scoring Wallach. Raines doubles scoring Winningham. Dawson delivers a bases loaded single scoring 2 more and it is now a 6-3 Expos lead.The Expos add to their lead in the 5th. Wallach is on 1st and would score on Winningham's triple to make it 7-3. They would then put this one out of reach in the 7th. Gullickson helps his own cause by singling with the baseloaded scoring 2. Raines would follow with a single of his own scoring another run and it is now 10-3. Gullickson would pitch 8 solid innings and Gary Lucas pitches the 9th to close out the game
