The Expos are taking the Astros today and Dave Palmer will square off against Bob Knepper. Palmer would start this game off by striking out the first 5 batters he faced. After that he would only strikeout 2 more.
In the 4th the Astros would get on the board on Mumphrey's 2-out 3 run homerun his 4th of the year and that gives the Astros a 3-0 lead. In the 5th Palmer helps his own cause as he singles home Fitzgerald and it is now 3-1. In the 6th Wallach doubles with 1-out that would score Francona to make it 3-2. The Astrxos would round out the scoring in the 7th when Walling singles with Reynolds on 2nd and he would score increasing the Astros lead to 4-2.
Dave Smith would pitch the 9th and pick up the save while lowering his ERA to 9.35
