In the 5th The Dodgers squeak out a couple of runs. With runners on 2nd and 3rd Landreaux bounces out to Bream and that scores Brock and Yeager moves over to 3rd. Hershiser then also bounces out to Bream and Yeager scores and the Dodgers are up 2-0. In the 7th Reuschel helps himself out with a solo homer off of Hershiser his 4th of the season and the score is now 2-1. In the 8th Madlock triples scoring 2 and that gives the Dodgers a 4-1 lead and a little cushion for Hershiser. Hershiser finishes the 9th for the complete game.
