May 10, 1985 Game 344: Angels (16-12) at Brewers (16-10)

The Brew Crew takes on the first place Angles today at County Stadium and they would hand the ball to Teddy Higuera to face this powerful Angels lineup.  The Angles hand the the ball to their ace Mike Witt.

It was scoreless through 3 but in the 4th The Angles get 2 on Beniquez's 1 out 2 run homer and the Angels are up 2-0.  They
 would add to their lead in the 5th With Gerber on 2nd Pettis delivers a single that would score the runner and it is now 3-0 Angels.

In the 6th Molitor leads off with a triple and is driven home by Yount's single to make it a 3-1 game.  The Angles get that run back in the 7th.  Gerber is again on 2nd and driven home by Pettis's double to make it 4-1 Angels.  The Brewers mount a comeback in the bottom half of the inning and they would chase Witt from the game and Donnie Moore takes over with the bases loaded.  Yount delivers a single scoring Gantner.  Moore gets Cooper to bounce into a 4-6-3 double-play and Romero scores to make it a 4-3 game.  Moore get's Oglivie to popout to short and the threat is stopped.  Moore would shut down the Brewers over the next to innings to earn the save.
